How can you check your Google rankings? You can check your Google rankings by typing your keyword in Google and counting the results. Then, add your position to a spreadsheet.

This is not ideal, especially if your goal is to track more keywords.

This is what SERP trackers were made for. Simply enter the keywords you wish to track, and the tool will do the rest. Search Engine Results Page, also known as SERP, is the acronym for Search Engine Response Page.

Tooltester24 has used several of them, including SE ranking and AcuRanker. Serpwatch, Morningscore, and Serpstat. We also used PRORankTracker in the past. This blog post took me approximately 10 hours to write, but it’s been in the works for many years.

It would help many people, just like you, if I listed what I love and don’t like about these online keyword trackers. We’ll also look at the prices to see which deals are available since rank tracking can be expensive.

Top 10 SERP Trackers

Let’s compare 10 rank trackers so you can find the best one for your project.

1. SE Ranking

This Ukrainian company makes a SERP tracking tool available at an affordable price. SE Ranking can be used if you have 250 keywords and are happy with weekly updates. The monthly cost is $23.40. What does SE Ranking offer?

It’s quite a lot.

You also get tools such as website audit, backlink monitoring, checking, and even a marketing plan. One of my favorite features is the ability to track YouTube rankings, Bing, Yandex and Yahoo. in addition to Google rankings. They claim to have 300,000. This makes them one of the most popular SEO tools.

SE Ranking Pricing

Essential 250 keywords – $49 (daily update), $39.20 (every three days).

Essential 500 Keywords: $69 (daily update), $55.20 (3 days)

Pro 1000 Keywords: $109 (daily update), $87.20 (every three days)

Monthly plans. Annual plans eligible for discounts up to 20%

What I love are the screens that give you a historical overview of your rankings, including the highest ranking. The pricing is flexible and reasonable. and They can also track Google SERP features like the featured snippet. You can even use the mobile SERP tracker feature. If you require it, the additional functionality such as website audits and backlink monitoring can be very useful. Most support is responsive. To organize your keywords, there are tags and folders.

What they should do: You often need to click a lot to get to your reports. There are sometimes minor bugs in the system which don’t always get addressed immediately.

Who’s it for Small businesses and freelancers who require a tool that is more than a simple SERP rank tracking tool. It is one of the most popular rank tracker tools.

2. AccuRanker

AccuRanker is a Danish rank tracker that claims to be the fastest and most accurate in the world. What does fast actually mean? AccuRanker allows you to request a refresh of ranking data anytime you like. The update is quick! It works with Google, Bing, Youtube, Yandex, and Baidu.

AccuRanker is my English ranking data for Tooltester. I use it because I track almost all of my keywords daily and can react to any important changes. The interfaces and menus are simple to use, which allows me to access the data I need quickly. YouTube tracking works even better than other tools.

You can also create segments, filter by SERP features, and export data. AccuRanker shows you search volumes for each keyword like all rank trackers you’ll find in this article. It also allows clients to send automatic ranking reports with their logo.

AccuRanker Pricing:

1000 keywords: $129

1500 keywords: $189

2000 keywords: $249

3000 keywords: $369

Daily updates of keyword data. Monthly plans. Subscribe to a yearly plan to save up to 10%

AccuRanker Screenshots:

What I love is their clean Scandinavian design. It will show you where you rank in the featured search snippet (so-called “position zero”) and include all other Google features such as related questions, site links, ads, etc. You can tag and star the most important keywords. I also love being able to request a keyword update whenever I want. You can add as many domains you wish.

What they should do: It would make it easier to view the ranking evolution in the main overview, similar to other SERP trackers (instead of clicking on the keyword detail view). This restriction is prohibitive and makes plans extremely expensive. Email reports that allow you to see rankings in your email would be preferred. ).

Who are you looking for? Store owners, brands, and agencies that require reliable and quick ranking data, competitor monitoring, historical data, and API access.

3. Nightwatch

The Nightwatch movie starring Ewan McGregor received mixed reviews back in the day. What about the rank tracker, however?

You will notice that everything on their website has a black theme. Their web app also has dark-mode enabled by default. It is something I like, but I turned it off quickly. It’s because the interface is too busy and the fonts are too small. It’s not easy to read if everything is white on black.

You will also notice that the Slovenian company has very affordable plans when compared to other companies. It offers discounts of up to 40% for customers who sign up for a yearly contract.

They also offer backlink and competitor monitoring. It is a complete product.

Nightwatch Prices

500 keywords: $39/month

1000 keywords: $99/month

5000 keywords: $369/month

Daily updates of keyword data. Monthly plans. For longer term terms, discounts up to 40%

Nightwatch Screenshots

What I love is that their yearly plans are extremely well-priced for daily updates keywords. Rank tracking includes details such as Featured Snippets (local packs), Knowledge Panels (knowledge panels). Nightwatch offers YouTube and DuckDuckGo tracking. Notes can be added to your account. These will be displayed in the ranking graphs. This is similar to Google Analytics notes. You can also get their daily, weekly, or monthly ranking updates via emails.

What they need to improve: I could not find a search function in the help section. Also, live chat isn’t always available, so I didn’t get an answer immediately. You’ll notice a significant increase in costs if you require more than 1000 keywords.

Who are you looking for? Agencies that need fast and accurate ranking data at reasonable rates for their clients.

4. Wincher

Another contender comes from Scandinavia. Wincher was made in Sweden, and he praises minimalism. Their prices are very minimal. 500 keywords with daily updates cost only EUR29/month (around 34% a>

They currently only track Google, so if your goal is to search for other search engines, you need to look elsewhere. The ranking tables are well-structured and include all of the relevant information. Columns can be customized to your liking. This also displays the SERP features relevant to your keyword, and whether your site appears in any of them.

You can use the Pages tool to identify weak points in your content. Although it’s okay, it doesn’t account for synonyms like Google. It can be useful for some.

Winter Pricing

500 keywords: EUR29

1000 keywords: EUR59

2000 keywords: EUR99

Daily updates of keyword data. Monthly plans. Subscribe to a yearly plan and get 2 months of free

Wincher Screenshots

What I love: This tool is well-designed and allows you to compare your website with other websites. The price is among the lowest in the market due to the wide range of features such as tracking all Google features (Featured Snippets, etc.). It also has the advantage of allowing you to see what keywords are already ranking.

What they should do: They should also be able to offer prices in USD. Many users would find it useful to add other search engines such as Youtube or Bing. A few times, I received ranking notifications via email when the results weren’t showing up in the tool.

5. ProRankTracker (PRT).

ProRankTracker is the keyword tracker we first used at Tooltester24. The Israeli company offers a $13.50 deal for 100 keywords if you don’t require a lot of keywords. The company also offers a free plan that allows you to track up to 20 keywords but does not provide information on search volumes. It offers a SERP tracker that tracks search volumes for Google, Yahoo!, Bing and Yandex. This is unique as no other tracking tool offers Amazon track. This is not the main focus of this article.

We moved to other services because ProRankTracker felt a little more complicated than the rest. Although the interface has been improved, there are still many issues with navigation.

ProRankTracker Pricing:

20 keywords free (limited features).

100 keywords: $13.50

500 keywords: $49

1000 keywords: $89

2000 keywords: $129

Get up to 20% off on yearly plans

ProRankTracker Screenshots:

What I love is that you can request manual rank updates. The main view shows you the evolution of keywords, as well as the winners and losers. This free plan is only available to rank trackers, and may be sufficient for small businesses. Their live chat support was also excellent. PRT has two Android and iOS apps that allow you to check your rankings easily.

What they need to improve: The navigation on the left-hand is too confusing. There are so many views that most users won’t use. It would also be helpful to have a quick way for users to see the current SERPs of each keyword. However, this view must be completely changed.

Who uses it? It’s free and highly recommended for anyone needing to track just a few keywords. Amazon sellers could also benefit from PRT.

Rating: 3.5/5

> ProRankTracker’s plan is free:

Serpwatch claims it is the “Most Advanced Ranking Tracker for Marketers & Agencies.” Although I don’t agree with the statement, I think their rank tracker works well. The features include client management, local ranking tools, and a report-builder. For monthly plans, pricing starts at $49/month and comes with a free 15-day trial.

250 keywords: $49

750 keywords: $99

2500 keywords: $349

Daily updates. You can request multiple daily updates. However, they will reduce your monthly quota. 7500 monthly checks (250 x 30) are included in the lowest plan. Annual plans include 5 months free.

Serpwatch Screenshots

I love They recently updated their interface, and it works great. There is a lot of useful information you can get, including when you rank for the same keyword on different pages (keyword cannibalization). Although their email reports are very useful, it would be great to have the option to stop receiving them.

How they should improve. I have noticed that keywords can sometimes be “jumpy,” dropping and then returning to their original positions the next day. This is although the ranking hasn’t changed when I look at the SERPs. Although I prefer to arrange my keywords according to search volume, it eventually reverts back to alphabetical sorting. If you have more than 250 keywords, it can become quite expensive.

Rating: 3.5/5

7. Serpstat

Serpstat from Ukraine is another contender. Nearly 100,000 users use the site to perform keyword research, rank tracking, backlink analysis, site audits, and rank tracking. They were going through a pricing update, taking the $19 plan for 200 keywords. The cheapest plan for 500 keywords will be $69, making it a more expensive rank tracking tool. Serpstat is a mini-Ahrefs, which does much more than rank tracking.

Serpstat Pricing

500 keywords: $69/month

2000 keywords: $149/month

Daily updates of keyword data. Monthly plans. For longer-term agreements, discounts up to 20%

Serpstat Screenshots:

What I love: There is no other tool that can give you a better visualization of your ranking evolution (see the screenshots). You can quickly see your current SEO status by using graphs and colors. However, some menus can be overwhelming. When it comes to the appearance of Google features in the SERPs, you are well informed.

What they should do: A rank tracker Serpstat can be very expensive. You should go all in and use them for as many SEO tasks as possible. Ahrefs is a great tool for keyword research.

Who can it be used for? Site and ecommerce owners need an all-in-1 SEO tool that offers a variety of features.

Rating: 3.5/5

8. Mangools SERPWatcher

Mangools is a friend of mine, thanks to their free and easy-to-use KWFinder tool. We like to recommend it as an alternative to Ahrefs or Google Keyword Planner (for those with small budgets). The Slovakian company also offers rank tracking and a full suite of tools. SERPWatcher, its name, is a very basic tool. It costs $49 for 200 keywords and is a little expensive. It tracks Google results only so far.

Mangools Pricing:

200 keywords: $49

700 keywords: $69

1500 keywords: $129

Daily updates of keyword data. Discounts up to 40% on yearly plans

Mangools Screenshots:

I love the design. It’s also very user-friendly due to its limited features. It integrates with KWFinder, so it is a great choice if you already use any Mongols products. You can also get very good discounts if you sign up for a yearly plan.

What they should improve Although there is no free trial, support was kind enough to give me a week of rank tracking for free to test it out.

9. Morningscore

Like Ukraine, Denmark has a thing about SEO tool creation. Morningscore is yet another candidate from Europe’s north. This young startup does not intend to be a SERP tracker, but instead, it wants to be an all-in-one suite for SEO beginners. Their main goal is to assign a value to your rankings. It is based on how much you normally pay to get your traffic through Google AdWords. Other tools also have this calculation.

It also has a great health report that checks for missing Alt-tags and broken links to ensure your #1 ranking. Prices start at $65 per 200 keywords and are updated daily. Morningscore has so far only tracked Google Desktop rankings. They seem to have their data from other SEO tools.

200 keywords: $65

500 keywords: $125

2000 keywords: $237

Daily updates of keyword data. Discounts up to 20% on yearly plans

What I love is their modern design. The $-value that they attach to your rankings is also something I like. Still, I’m not sure how much you can take away from it. The Missions dashboard is particularly helpful because you can set ranking goals that you can follow. It keeps track of your progress. It sends you virtual high-fives once you have achieved it.

What they should do: The rank tracking tool doesn’t offer many features. You don’t see any Google SERP features, such as featured snippet. You don’t get a featured snippet, and you don’t know when it was done exactly. You can find lower-priced deals if you have a rank tracker.

Who’s it for founders and marketers who don’t need too much data?

10. Ahrefs

Ahrefs? You may be wondering. When two or more SEOs have a conversation, it won’t take long before you hear the word Ahrefs. This tool is a favorite of ours, and we use it almost every single day. They are great at keyword research and backlink tracking. They also offer rank tracking. We are not using it. The $179 price includes 1500 keywords, which is quite reasonable considering the quality of other parts of the suite. These keywords are only updated once per week (!

Ahrefs does not offer daily updates. The keyword updates don’t seem to happen simultaneously, so it’s a problem. They are therefore not a good choice for rank tracking.

A bit too basic for a rank tracker (3/5)

Excellent SEO tool but not for rank tracking as it doesn’t update daily.

We also found two rank trackers for free:

  • ProRankTracker allows you to track up to 20 keywords free of charge
  • SEO offers 10 keywords free of charge.

This might be an alternative to paid tools if you don’t want to rank for many keywords.

Last words

It’s quite interesting to see that smaller European countries offer SERPS tracking. That was something I didn’t anticipate.

It’s not hard to see why AccuRanker has become my favorite rank tracking software. However, their prices start at a high price. AccuRanker, unlike many other rank tracking software, is purely focused on SERP tracking.

I like SEO Ranking because it has some very nice SEO features that were not obvious to me. You can even set the time when your daily keyword updates should occur. This would be my top choice if I were looking for ‘value-for-money,’ especially if you don’t need daily updates.

These two options are great. Both offer a free 14-day trial.
